Anti-theft features of RespectRFID include:

1) Tag removal from item is detected*
2) Tag hiding is detected*
3) Opening tagged package is detected*
4) Tag disabling/destruction is detected*
5) Tag detuning by placing tag near metal or liquid is difficult,
     as the tag automatically retunes itself, but if detuning is accomplished it will be detected*.
6) Tag cloning is detected*
7) Adding an additional tag is detected*
8) Altered/replaced barcode is detected* at time of checkout
9) Tag hacking (cloning) is impossible
10) Tag signal jamming is detected and located*
11) Tagged item shoplifting by one or more individuals is detected*
12) Failure to correctly tag an item is detected*
13) Cashier attempting to let a tag item pass incorrectly is detected*.
14) Cashier who voids a transaction after a tagged item leaves the area is detected*
15) Moving tagged item to another location is detected*
       and an employee will be alerted to return the item
16) Person leaving store with a tagged item which is not paid for is automatically detected*, **

    In case of a major shoplifting event, such as gang boosting,
    an automatic call to the local police will be made asking for backup.
